Office block

Over the past few days I have been working on a new structure to replace the old brick one that was a recycled model from an earlier layout. It didn't really fit the scene and I don't think it was as good a standard as I would have liked.

The new building.

Hey John, just popped in to say thanks for following my blog and to see what you've been up to. Nice building by the way.
Age has a colour, believe it or not, If you look at the picture you have of a train crossing a bridge you will see streaks on the bridge that give it that authentic look, well if you take a little Raw Umber pigment and thin it out with a little water and then give your building a thin wash with it it adds that age giving it a more realistic look. Just a trick I've picked up in the film industry, you know how real film sets look. Anyway you make a great modeler and may one day think about making money from it by approuching one of the model builders in the film industry, yes they do use models, both alive and not. Take care and God bless, Geoff.
