Minor Changes

With most models a point is reached when only small changes and details are added but take a long time.
Detailing does produce big visual difference but enhance the overall look. This is the case in this post.

Main items. 
More front end details (three stripes) 
More front window frame details so they now accept the glazing as a flush fitting unit.

Front end

Tonight's update


Some front end progress, cab roof and front window/number board trim.


Wheel panels, and inner corridor walls on center power unit.


Center section roof that slots under the two units roof lines.

Metrolink 4


The plan is to fit plastic window frames that sit back from the outer skin,
exactly the thickness of the plastic glazing Above you can see the two units, one with just vertical frames.The second to the rear already has its horizontal frames in too.


With the roof pieces dropped into place it almost looks like a Metrolink now.




Metrolink 3


 This post sees the start outline of the cab structure installed.
The curved and multi-faceted front has created some challenges


Some rudimentary tests of the concertina connections, 
these are made from folded thick paper
